9 months old

Dear Owen,

I can't believe how fast the last 9 months have gone! You are growing so fast! You spend your days crawling everywhere you can, pulling yourself up on anything (even the walls!) and then walking around holding on.  You aren't as interested in your jumperoo as much anymore.  You really enjoy watching Raffi's Children's Concert, Baby Einstein Baby MacDonald, and Baby's First Signs. You bounce on your bottom and clap your hands in excitement! You crawl really close to the tv and want to bang the table too. You haven't started signing yet but we are trying to  practice a few daily signs with you.  Mostly Daddy, Mommy, please, milk, and more. You still aren't very interested in baby food or table foods but we try daily! You are also still learning how to use a sippy cup. You do like eating a few puffs, but most of the time you put food in your mouth, suck on it and spit it out.

We love you so much sweet boy! We are so excited to watch you grow and learn more!

Raffi

Dear Owen,

Lately, over the past few weeks, you have really been enjoying Raffi Children's Concert.  We watch it on YouTube and you just loooove it! It seems to be the only thing you can watch over and over and still enjoy.  It is also the only thing that calms you down and even makes you clap and smile :) So I guess you like music, maybe the guitar? Or the songs? I think you also love seeing the little kids in the audience too.

You're CRAWLING!!!

Dear Owen,

This just happened!!! Right now you just started crawling!!! I am SO excited!!! Daddy is at work and can't wait to come home and see you move!! :) Good job little man!! Our world is about to change! We will now be chasing after you and baby-proofing everything! You are so strong and so excited about crawling. I'm taking lots of video to remember this special day!

If your happy and you know it, clap your hands!! :)

Dear O,

Last night  you were playing with Daddy and he taught you to clap your hands! :) You have been trying for a couple weeks, and usually just get one clap, sometimes accidentally.  But last night you got so excited and clapped your little hands several times! It was so precious watching you learn.  Your sweet little hands made gentle little clap sounds and it just melted my heart! I love you so much my sweet little O!

Couch Surfing

To my sweet O,

You have become very active lately! So much so you either wear yourself out and take long naps or fight them all together because you just want to play! Today you started "couch surfing"!! Well actually around the ottoman, and the whole thing.  You have learned you can hold on and stay standing but can move around more, and its so cute!! Me and Daddy love watching you learn new things :)

Another new thing you can started are making lots of funny faces!! You just crack us up!! :) We love when you scrunch up your nose and breathe in and out really fast, sometimes sticking your tongue out too! Oh boy you are just the cutest thing ever!!! We love you so much!!!

8 months old

Dear Owen,

You are a little over 8 months old today.  You woke up in a pretty happy mood :)  I love waking up next to you and seeing your little happy face. You look up at me and your eyes are saying "mommy wake up! I want to see you!" I just love it!! Right now you are asleep on my lap :) So precious, so peacefully sleeping.  You have been really enjoying Raffi childrens music this last week.  You watch the concert to contently, and its so relaxing for Me and Daddy.  No big plans today, but we'll see where the day goes! :)
